ABROAD WRITERS’ CONFERENCE is excited to announce the DEBORAH HENRY SCHOLARSHIP. We have two ABROAD WRITERS’ CONFERENCE competitions, one in Poetry and the second one is a Short Story or One Chapter.

SHORT STORY OR ONE CHAPTER
Short stories and chapters must be 2500 – 5000 words, double spaced. Submit one short story or one chapter. Entrance fee: $25.00
1st Prize, The winner will be published in the journal EXILE Editions and they will receive a Full Scholarship to attend AWC in Dublin.
2nd Prize, The runner-up will also be published in the journal EXILE Editions.

Exile Editions is an independent literary publisher based in Toronto. It was founded in 1976 by poet, novelist and artist Barry Callaghan and is currently headed by Michael Callaghan. Exile has published over 320 titles to date, including a wide array of poetry, fiction and nonfiction by authors from around the world and Canada such as Yehuda Amichai, Pablo Neruda, Morley Callaghan, Colin Carberry, Austin Clarke, Lauren B. Davis, Gwendolyn MacEwan, Michael Moriarty, Joyce Carol Oates, Jon Papernick, Boris Pasternak, Leon Rooke, Jaime Sabines, Priscilla Uppal, and Sean Virgo.
POETRY COMPETITION
We accept both published and unpublished poems; however, no translations. No restrictions on length or theme. One to three poems per submission.
1st Prize, The winner will receive a Full Scholarship to attend AWC in Dublin or $1,500. Plus a poetry chapbook published by Finishing Line Press.
2nd Prize. The runner-up will receive a 50% discount to attend AWC in Dublin.
